I’m Lynn Jordan, and I’ve spent over four decades immersed in this extraordinary industry. From hands-on bench work and boutique retail management to my long-standing consultancy with the Birmingham Assay Office, jewellery has shaped my life, my craft, and my commitment to care. 

At SBS, that commitment continues — helping people recover what truly matters after the unthinkable happens. 

My background is rooted in traditional craftsmanship and expert valuation. I’ve managed prestigious county jewellers in Cheshire, advised clients across the UK, and worked extensively in the insurance sector, supporting both pre- and post-loss jewellery claims. This blend of experience gives me a unique perspective on what jewellery means — not just in value, but in sentiment, memory, and personal meaning. 

My professional journey has always been underpinned by a deep commitment to learning — not just from experience, but through formal study. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to gain specialist qualifications in gemmology, diamond grading, and traditional jewellery making. I hold fellowships with respected institutions such as the Institute of Registered Valuers and the National Association of Goldsmiths, and I’ve earned credentials from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and City & Guilds. These have helped me combine practical skill with technical accuracy — vital in both valuation and the delicate art of restoring what’s been lost.
